Fusion Garage, an up and coming tablet manufacturer, has announced their ipad competitor. The tablet retails for $299 and carries many of the features found on higher end tablets such as wifi capabilities. The 16gb model was originally set to launch at $599, so this $200 reduction is a major influence. For an extra $100 the tablet can come with a 3g connection. The tablet runs on its' own operating system, GridOS, rather than Android or Ipad OS. The Grid10 has an incredible display, with a resolution of 1366 x 768 wide to be exact with a 16:9 aspect ratio. This makes the device easy to read even when looking at small items.
This is a great move for Fusion Garage. The Apple Ipad pretty much dominates the tablet market but they retail for about $400 or up. By being $100 cheaper, does that create incentive to make a purchase from Fusion Garage rather than Apple? Will the $100 bill that they save make the Fusion Garage Grid 10 have a competitive advantage over the Ipad or just make the Grid 10 look cheap and lacking quality?

Tucker - I noticed that your post is short (63 words). I understand this is the 1st week of posting so everyone is getting used to it. If you check on the assignment instructions, you will see that the blog posts need to be between 100 - 200 words and the average post should be at least 150 words. This just means that always posting around 100 words is not enough.
ReplyDelete1. That said - maybe you could research (possibly from an additional site) more information about this product and then add that to your post.
2. Also, try leaving the reader with a question - something to respond to.
I updated my post, I updated it at home, but I must not have saved it. word count is now 192. I posted some questions at the end. Feel free to amnswer and post feedback.
